Pan Mediterranean Engineering Company (PMEC) a unit of China Harbour Engineering Company is constructing the Southport Terminal in Ashdod, Israel, called the Hadarom Port Project. The works include quay construction, extension of the existing breakwater by 600m, a new 1500 meters secondary breakwaters and reclamation and dredging works. On behalf of CDR International BV Mr. Sigurdur Sigurdarson of IceBreak Consulting Engineers undertook a supervision mission for PMEC. This was timed at the start of construction of the breakwaters and included construction supervision, rock placement control and surveying.
