Evaluation of Marine Aspects for FSRU to feed ELPS Pipeline – Nigeria – Gasinvest

The scope of work was to evaluate various location options along the coast based on the parameters of the FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) vessel and the discharging ship:
– Infrastructure development and indicative costs;
– Determine suitable mooring structures for the various locations;
– Recommend on optimal location and mooring solution;
– If possible, advise on preferred FSRU selection;
– Project management.

CDR has conducted an on-site survey and evaluation. The study report covers a site-allocation study for a FSRU along the South-Western Nigerian coastline, and is focussed on the marine evaluation of various FSRU location options along this stretch of coastline. The marine evaluation includes the following aspects:

  • Predetermined locations to assess
  • Selection of vessel
  • Required Infrastructure development (e.g. pipelines)
  • Suitable mooring structures for the various locations
  • Marine environmental conditions
  • CAPEX and OPEX of the different locations
