The Alexandria Port Authority (APA), with support from the Dutch Enterprising Agency (RVO), is designing a project to rehabilitate the old port of Alexandria. A feasibility study is carried out to investigate the technical and financial feasibility of modernisation and renovation of the port infrastructure of the Port of Alexandria in Egypt. Thereby, the aim is to implement to project in the most sustainable sense as APA has the goal to further as a “Green Port”.

CDR and partners have carried out the following activities and reported accordingly in close collaboration with APA:

  • Data collection;
  • Demand study;
  • Preliminary Design and Technical Due Diligence of Existing Port Infrastructure;
  • Environmental Screening (Initial Environmental Examination);
  • Financial and Economic Model;
  • Delivering an integrated report with (bankable) business case.
